Conference Feature (Optional)

Will I have to log into a separate web site for conference calls?

No.  In order to view participants on a conference call that you moderate, if you have subscribed to this service, all you need to do is log into your GAVoicemail account at www.gavoicemail.com.  Anyone can participate in a conference call.

Can the conference call feature be used without using the web?  

Yes.

Does a person have to be a part of the Unified Messaging system in order to be a part of a conference call?

No, and the system will show CID information that is provided by the telephone company.

Will we be billed for the conference feature?  We also have an existing conference feature that we use; is it the same thing?

There is no charge for the Centrex conference feature (3-way calling); it will remain a feature of the Centrex system.  The UM mailbox will provide an optional conference feature that will allow a UM mailbox to conference up to 10 people for a charge of .019 per minute per caller.  If you have a need for more participants, you can request through your agency’s Telecommunications Coordinator.   The existing conference feature will also remain.
